Shanghai SIPI Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, a state-owned group headquartered in Shanghai, possesses four manufacturing divisions supplying API's, herbal extract products, bio-chemicals and formulations.
Started in the year 1979, SIPI Pharma was founded by Shanghai Institute of Pharmaceutical Industry, Abbr. SIPI, which is a most comprehensive and chinese 1st ranking R& D faculty instituted in 1957, with over 700 strong force of chemical engineers.
Initially SIPI Pharma acted as a pilot plant venture of SIPI, offering manufacturing capabilities from gram scale-up to multi-ton lots for compounds under development. After 26-year rapid expanding, now SIPI Pharma has a formidable presence in pharma field with registered capital over USD10 million, consists of four spacious manufcturing facilities in Shanghai with GMP certified, and more than one thousand employees. The strong R&D strengths of SIPI made SIPI Pharma stand out from all other suppliers: an innovation-based company with disciplined practices of synthesis, providing custom synthesis, contract manufcturing and product sourcing. As a global maker of Azithromycin, Alpha Lipoic Acid, etc, SIPI Pharma prides itself in exporting bulk products since 1996.
