Omkar Chemicals was founded in 1980 by Mr. P.S Herlekar, himself a B-Tech chemical engineer from IIT Bombay, with a objective to develop speciality reagents required for pharmaceutical industries.

Initially the company started with development of inorganic oxidants such as Molybdenum trioxide, Selenium dioxide, Sodium metaperiodate, Led tetra acetate etc.

Our company's association with other leading bulk drugs, pharmaceutiacls & cosmetic manufacturers enabled us to borden the business continuesly improving the product range, with a dedication to both service & growth, we have developed a dynamic techinical team which has enabled us to offer a direct line of organic-inorganic intermidiates demanded by our customers.

As far as man power is concerned, we lay a great degree to emphasis on the quality of every member in our organisation who are greately qualified, widely experienced & dedicated technocrats, who constantly try to enhance the quality of our existing products & develop new products to meet the growing demands in the market.

All our products are made to the highest standards & are thorougly checked for compliance for specifications.

The inhouse testing facility include, titrometric, potentiometric, iodometric, redox estimation process, we also have other common instruments for tests, such as melting point, KF moisture, UV , TLC, spectroscopy etc. We also have ancillary facility for chromatography & HPCL.

Research & development : Over the years, " Omkar Chemicals ", has widened its horizon & extended its capabilities to manufacture new generation chemicals & have developed many proprietory products. Research & Development group which is the nerve centre of our organisation has enabled to accuare a name in the chemical & allied industries. We also undertake custom manufacturing & job work for consumer requirements if any in our area of work.Our specialisation in the feild of iodine chemistry has enabled us to widen our business world over.

Product Range. : Our product range include a wide range of speciality chemicals to meet the demands of Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Glass, Ceramic, Metal finishing Dyes, Electronic & Agrochemical industries. Our products also cater to lubricants additives, PVC additives, & speciality alloyes. We are also competant to supply specific Tailor made products.

Enviormental aspects : Our factory is located in a notified industrial chemical zone in maharashtra industrrial development corporation. We give upmost importance to complying withthe requirments of mentaining thje pollution level of the effluents. We have inhouse facilities for primary& secondary treatment after which the iffluents are further treated in common effluent treatment plant located in our industrial area.
