Description :
Amidol Syrup is probably the most widely used general purpose mild analgesic and it is indicated for the relief of mild to moderate pain of diverse aetiology. In equivalent dosage paracetamol is as effective as aspirin for most painful conditions, but is generally held to be less effective when pain is associated with acute inflammation.
Product Applications :
Amidol Syrup is used extensively for reduction of fever associated with influenza and other infections, particularly in children. It is only effective in reducing abnormally elevated body temperature. Paracetamol and aspirin are equally effective antipyretics. The maximum lowering of temperature occurs 2 to 3 hours after a therapeutic oral dose, and the effect usually persists for at least 6 hours.
